Microsoft's Xbox 360 was the first Next Gen system to be released for this console cycle. It features powerful components which can deliver stunning high definition graphics. This system has support for wireless controllers built in but can also use wired usb controllers. Upon release of the 360 it already had some strong titles from day one such as Dead or Alive 4, Perfect Dark Zero and Call of Duty 2. Since the launch in November 2005 even more great games have been released for the system such as Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion, Gears of War and Enchanted Arms. Unlike the original xbox the Xbox 360 comes with xbox live right out of the box. From day 1 you can play games online and voice chat. With a new system comes a new Xbox live. The biggest addition would be the Xbox Live Market Place. In this area you can download free game demos, videos and movie trailers. Some games offer free content downloads and others have pay downloads. With this marketplace comes the rise of the Xbox Live arcade. Titles such as Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting and fan favorite Geometry Wars can be purchased on the market place. Some arcade games even have online play. Even though the 360 did not ship with a next gen video disc format you can buy the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player which allows you to play you high def movies up to 1080p. The system also plays an every growing selection of regular Xbox games through an emulator program. The Xbox 360 is everything the original system is and a little more.
